I finally figured out what I don’t like about the 996, lack of Cocaine fueled design choices, no whale tails, no flares. they are too tasteful.......from the rear.

I don’t think the 1999 996 has IMS issues - it had a double row of bearings or something like that.

It is low miles, but no 996 should be over $20k unless it has a turbo.

Huge CP!! I almost bought an 01' C2 Aero (55k miles) for $14k because it hadn’t had the IMS bearing done and the 2nd gear synchro was going. Both of which I could have done with in my $20k loan amount. But his bank was being stupid and then I got my GTO. I sometimes wish I had been able to make that one work.... Oh Well
